New tires for van. Service and price were reasonable. One lug nut was cross threaded and had to be torched off at first rotation. Bad luck, but reasonable workmanship would have avoided this.
Saved by the good people at Levin Tire in Valparaiso when techs at Walmart snapped off and damaged several wheel bolts and claimed they did not have the means to repair the damage. Levin Tire squeezed me in and had me back on the road within 90 minutes! The techs at Walmart were unsympathetic . The people at Levin cared and had eased my anxiety.

Make sure to pack a lunch and bring a couple good movies. 2.5 hours to replace a tire.
For tires this place is fine. I've been purchasing tires here for years. Every time I've been there, they try to get me to agree to additional work like shocks, brakes, etc. I always thank them for bringing things to my attention, and have my mechanic check it out. But, this time, they got me. They talked me into an "alignment", which consisted of a bang on the tire with a hammer and charge of $89.00. My fault for being so stupid and gullible, but never again. Tires and tires only next time!!
Hello Joan, We have reviewed the Alignment print outs and your vehicle did need a front end toe adjustment. The alignment was recommend to you after it was checked and before the adjustments were made which you agreed for the service to be performed (verified by surveillance at 10:35am on October 4th). Alignments must be checked and performed as needed to keep your Tire Warranty Active because otherwise your tires may wear unevenly. In the future, please just let us know if you would like us to not inspect your vehicle and we will happily oblige.
